Product review: Rimmel clear complexion clarifying powder with natural minerals

What it claims to do:
"Pure and shine-free finish for up to 5 hours. Clariflies skin thanks to PureSkin complex known to minimise skin breakouts. Controls shine and mattifies skin. Dermatologically tested."

  • available in boots, superdrug and wherever Rimmel is sold
  • price: £3.99
  • (as far as I know) it only comes in 021 transparent
When you first apply it onto the face, it feels just like the Rimmel stay matte powder, it is very finely milled and silky. I have to say the stay matte definitely keeps your face shine-free for longer. Although this powder is transparent, it doesn't come up as chalky or grey so I think it will look fine on most skin tones but maybe not if you have a very deep skin tone. As far as the clearing and preventing breakouts part, I don't see a massive effect.

This is good if you are looking for an inexpensive setting powder. This is targeted towards oily and combination skin types so if you have dry or sensitive skin,  I don't recommend trying this as it can dry your skin out even more or the minerals may irritate your sensitive skin.
